Angel Fire artist Katrina Shirley will show you how easy it is to create a bear on canvas. Katrina is an Angel Fire artist and she has been teaching painting at the Merc for 3 years!

Fee $45.00 includes all supplies and instruction and you will take your piece home that day.

Students will create their own version of In Your Garden, with Cathy Frick.

Cathy Frick works as a graphic designer during the day, and in her spare time she works in 3 dimensions on her own, wildly creative, art!

Using a media she calls "the Fluff", for which she holds a patent, she creates mesmerizing 3D scenes.  Sweeping vistas and closeups of flowers and interesting perspectives on our beloved Aspen.

She creates on ceramic tile, wood, home decor items, etc.  She is always experimenting with new ways to add increasingly unique details to her work.

A resident of Arvada, CO, Cathy was one of the first artists exhibiting at the Eagle Nest Mercantile, and we are welcoming her for her third year teaching her unique style of painting.

Student's will create their own version of In Your Garden on a wood with a live edge.

Class is limited to 10 students, the fee is non-refundable but it is transferable to another person in the event that you cannot attend at the last minute.

MineralBound Silver specializes in beginner friendly jewelry classes teaching the art of silversmithing.

To me this is a rare opportunity, but she's so close, Santa Fe.   Gotta love New Mexico.
Kayla owns/operates MineralBound Silver, a pop-up silversmith studio, and she'll be teaching at The Merc this summer.  I can't even stand it.  

Two classes, limit of six per class, staggered arrival times so everyone gets direct attention.

Martin is a turquoise expert ; he works with natural turquoise and designs his own jewelry.

He's coming up from ABQ on Friday Aug. 1, 2025 from 3:00-6:00pm

He's going to tell us everything we need and want to know about turquoise, bring your questions.

This is a FREE event but Martin will showcase his jewelry so bring your wallet..just in case.
