About the Book
What if Jesse James didn't die in 1882? Bud Hardcastle spent decades tracking down descendants, decoding symbols carved into rocks and trees across North America, and gathering letters, photos, and treasure maps penned by Jesse himself — given to Bud by Jesse's grandsons. The result is an 818-page hardback historical biography that challenges everything history taught us about the Wild West's most infamous outlaw. He left his mark right here in Northeastern New Mexico.

About Rosanne
Rosanne came to this story through her own search for the truth about a great-great-granduncle — a Texas city marshal reportedly broken out of jail by fifty masked men, one allegedly being Jesse James. When she found Bud Hardcastle, his evidence was so compelling she set aside her own story to help him tell his. Bud chose her above all other writers because of the passion for truth they shared.
